The oil content in corn germ is about 40%, so it belongs to high content oil. The best way for it is both pre-pressing and oil solvent extraction way. First, the oil pre-presser will move part of the oil, then the rest oil will be extracted by oil solvent extraction way. The oil residues of the final meal can reduce to less than 1%.
For the corn germ oil solvent extraction machine, there are four main sections.
1)Oil extractor section. This section will use solvent (n-hexane) to extract the oil in the corn germ. After this section of corn germ oil solvent extraction machine, two kinds of products have been got. One is cake with solvent, the other one is micella (solvent and corn germ oil).
2)Separating of cake and solvent section. The main equipment in this section is toaster. The popular toaster is DTDC now. This desolventizer toaster of corn germ oil solvent extraction machine will separate the cake and the solvent. Then the cake can be packed to sell. The temperature of toaster is about 130℃.
3)Separating of micella oil. The main equipment in this section is 1st evaporator, 2nd evaporator and stripping tower. After separating in these three sections, the solvent is separated from the corn germ oil completely. The temp
4)Solvent recycling section. The solvent from the toaster and stripping tower will be recycled by the condensers. Then the solvent can be used again.
